Milo Baughman (1923-2003) was a visionary in modern design, recognized as one of the most influential furniture designers of the 20th century. His distinctly American creations are innovative yet approachable, characterized by a relaxed and timeless elegance that continues to inspire designers globally. Baughman's philosophy centered on the belief that good design is enduring design. His disciplined approach avoided fleeting trends, resulting in pieces that are unapologetically modern while maintaining classic good taste. From 1953 to 2003, Baughman partnered with Thayer Coggin to craft designs that defined mid-century modern American furniture. His work has been celebrated in prestigious exhibitions, including "Good Design" at MoMA and "High Styles: Twentieth Century American Design" at the Whitney Museum of American Art. In 1987, he was honored with the Distinguished Design Award. Our Milo Baughman Collection is meticulously bench-made in High Point, North Carolina, with custom upholstery tailored to your specifications. Explore our original Milo Baughman below

Designed by Milo Baughman in 1982, the Sit Tight sectional sofa is a curvilinear contemporary classic. Sit Tight's soft, round curved forms provide both stylish elegance and subtle comfort. Featuring a seven and one-half inch recessed base available in polished stainless steel, brushed bronze or fully upholstered with tights seats and backs constructed with density foam and fiber wrap, Sit Tight creates a stiking artistic form in any interior.
