In 1980, (a long, long, time ago) David Soonlan and Luciano Baldi started the excellent furniture company, Della RobbiaUSA.   The two were committed to craftsmanship and had a love for Italian design.  They found that by using the very high standards of the top European luxury firms,  David, the quiet businessman, skilled engineer, and designer, and Luciano, the Italian lover of all things beautiful, with a passion for people. brought their unique and differing skills (along with family members) and sworking with family connections who had experience with some of these companies, were able to build the first factory in CA.
